Eye & Vision Information
Content Sources & Licensing
Eksteen’s information library connects existing practice information, patient guides and interactive visualisations. It provides general education and supports a conversation with an eye-care professional; it does not diagnose or replace individual advice.
A South African practice
South African requirements take priority for professional scope, privacy, medicines, devices and clinical services. We refer to the HPCSA, SAHPRA, the National Department of Health and the Information Regulator where relevant. International material can provide secondary support when applicable locally.
References and permissions
Linking a source does not mean its text or images can be copied, that it endorses the practice, or that every recommendation applies in South Africa. Copyright permissions and clinical suitability are checked separately.
Existing Eksteen titles, short descriptions and destination links are used in the search index. Third-party sources listed below are referenced only. No external photographs, illustrations or medical text have been imported for this library update.
Public-domain and open-licence material
Some US government material and some NHS material may permit reuse under specific terms. Each item still requires its own rights, attribution, freshness and South African applicability checks. Third-party images, branding and journal material can have separate restrictions.
Search privacy
Search runs within this website in your browser. Search terms are not saved by the site or sent to Google Analytics. Form contents and clinical-tool responses are also excluded from Analytics.
