When a referral discussion may be useful

Start with the question
you need answered.

Chris’s role is optical/optometric where appropriate. Medical diagnosis and treatment remain separate where required; optical assessment does not replace ophthalmological management.

  • 01When standard correction is not providing stable or satisfactory vision
  • 02Where irregular corneal shape complicates optical correction
  • 03When specialist contact-lens assessment may be appropriate
  • 04Where additional optometric assessment may complement existing medical care
  • 05When a clinician would like to discuss whether Chris’s service is appropriate

Discuss the case with the practice and agree the next step before sharing patient information.

  4. 04

    Feedback / follow-up

Where agreed and appropriate, findings can be communicated back to the referrer.

Suitability is reviewed case by case. No acceptance or turnaround time is promised.
